We organise events and holiday camps for children and unaccompanied minors living in local emergency shelters or temporary accommodation.

SNOW DAY: In partnership with NEW GENERATION SKI SCHOOL, we organise a day trip to Courchevel for children living in emergency shelters. New Generation provides ski instructors, ski gear and lift passes. Lake Aid volunteers help look after small groups of children, who are usually skiing for the first time. It is indescribable to watch the children’s joy and excitement at this new experience!

SPRING CARNIVAL DAY: The joy of Carnival is brought to children from local shelters. Lake Aid volunteers provide fancy dress for the children, paint their faces and take them to join the fun at Annecy Family Carnival.

SWIM DAY: With the arrival of the Summer heat, we take children in need to Les Marquisats outdoor swimming pool in Annecy for a day of water fun, with a picnic tea.

HOLIDAY CAMPS: Volunteer Suzanne Balthazard organises holiday camps for homeless children and unaccompanied minors a week at a time. Activities include mountain trips, swimming, ice-skating, cooking and crafts…the Summer months.

CHRISTMAS PARTY: In partnership with SECOURS POPULAIRE and COLLECTIF URGENCES ROMS, we hold a huge Christmas Holiday party every year with a festive photo booth, face painting, craft tables, fun games and live musical entertainment. All the children receive a gift before leaving. A day to remember!
